Set in the heart of a former farm on the north coast of Crete, Saveriako Stay has been lovingly transformed into a peaceful haven of creativity and sustainability. The property is as self-sufficient as possible: breakfast eggs come from their happy chickens, while the olive oil and vegetables are produced in their own olive grove and permaculture garden. Water is heated year-round using solar panels, and wastewater from the bistro is reused to water the plants.
Upcycling is at the heart of Saveriako's philosophy. The four beautifully designed apartments feature almost entirely vintage and recycled interiors, complemented by handmade creations and distinctive Greek blue-and-white details. Every space has been thoughtfully designed to encourage rest, reflection, and artistic inspiration.
The couple behind Saveriako Stay are also passionate about supporting the local community. Whenever possible, they work with genuine Cretan businesses and can even help arrange a rental car through local companies.
When you're ready to explore, the beautiful bays around Agia Pelagia are just a few minutes away by car. Located about half an hour west of Heraklion, Crete's capital, Agia Pelagia is a charming coastal village with traditional tavernas, fishing boats bobbing in the harbor, and the relaxed atmosphere of a classic Greek holiday resort.
After a long day at the beach, return to your peaceful oasis and join the other guests around the long communal table, where Saveriako serves wonderfully fresh and delicious dinners made with vegetables and olive oil from their own garden.

The studios are idyllically situated, yet not too far from the action, and the view is wonderful! Each studio is lovingly designed and mostly built from upcycled materials.
Saverio and Lidian were the perfect hosts. They have a story to tell about every guest, so it's easy to connect if you want to. Or you can keep to yourself, which is perfectly fine too.
The highlight is the evenings when Saveriako, a apulian chef, share traditional Greek cuisine, pours plenty of wine, and engages in deep conversations. People from several nations quickly gather around the table, and in the end, it doesn't matter what language you happen to speak, or even if you don't.
I will gladly recommend this lovely spot and will certainly return there again sometime.

Our stay at Saveriako stay was simply wonderful! The warmth and hospitality, the in-depth conversations with Lidian and Saverio, as well as with other guests, were marvelous. The cooking class was also very interesting, and the communal meal afterward in good company was fantastic. We could always drop by for a coffee or some tips. The apartment was beautifully furnished down to the smallest detail with handcrafted/designed furniture, and the atmosphere was just perfect. The house's perfect location on the hillside meant it was pleasantly breezy, allowing us to sit, eat, and read in the shade even when it was 30 degrees Celsius. We stayed for ten days without a car and were able to easily walk to the shops, into the village, or to the beach among the olive trees (about 30 minutes), or take the bus to Heraklion or Rethymno to explore the cities. Therefore, a stay with or without a car is perfectly feasible. We couldn't have imagined a more relaxed, welcoming, and personal place to stay for our honeymoon!

The beaches of Agia Pelagia are just a few minutes away. You will also find several beautiful coves and family-friendly beaches in the surrounding area.
With your own kitchen, you can easily prepare breakfast or a meal using fresh, local products. After a day by the sea or exploring Crete, there is plenty of space to relax together among the olive trees.
From Saveriako, families can easily discover the island, from beautiful beaches and traditional villages to local tavernas, olive groves and historic places such as Heraklion and Knossos.
Whether you are travelling with young children or teenagers, Saveriako offers the freedom of an apartment, the tranquillity of the countryside and the sea close by.

The former small farm is located in the middle of an olive grove. All apartments are personally furnished by Lidian, a Dutch designer. The style is modern and “easy chic”. Handmade in-house creations and the typical Greek colors, blue and white, dominate the furnishings. Many pieces are vintage and come from old Cretan houses.
We had a wonderful holiday at Agia Ateliers. Saverio and Lidian's place is very welcoming and easygoing. In the mornings, you're woken by cicadas and can enjoy your coffee on the terrace overlooking the olive grove.
Our apartment was clean, tidy, and beautifully and tastefully furnished, using a lot of recycled materials and with great care.
We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday. Since the owners have several animals, you should definitely be an animal lover.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt completely relaxed. If we ever return to Crete, we will certainly book with Saverio again.
